Citizen Perceptions and Public Servant Accountability of Local Government Service Delivery in Malaysia

This research examines the perceptions of citizens and public servant accountability delivering local government services in Malaysia. The study employed a quantitative approach, with 1,160 questionnaire responses from servants government. findings reveal that respondents are generally satisfied provided to society. However, there were three concerns: first, inadequacy citizens’ participation programs; second, actions relation complaints, third, slow response repair dilapidated basic infrastructure. Theoretically, this contributes management literature concerning connection between expectations by employees public. Practically, we recommend governments engage their decision making processes so they can directly monitor service delivery servants.
